What is the Microcourt

The microcourt is a 3 sided portable Perspex court which is about 1/3 of the size of a regular court and is transported to Primary & intermediate schools in the region to play "kiwi squash". Children use large foam balls and junior size rackets to play on the court. With 30 rackets and balls and a lesson plan in the kit, every child in the class can learn basic ball and racket skills and get their first introduction to the game of squash.

How to book the microcourt

Nelson Bays Squash has a microcourt available in the Nelson region during terms 1 & 3 to all Primary and Intermediate Schools in the Nelson, Richmond, Motueka and Golden Bay areas. Court size 2.4m high, 5m long, 4m wide.

We	Set up the court on a Monday, supply the rackets and balls Collect the court the following Monday Recommend teacher training (15 minutes)
You	Provide a hall or classroom Use the court as you wish for a week
The Children	Have great fun! Get an introduction to squash without leaving the school grounds Develop hand to eye coordination
Cost	Only $50 per week (lost or damaged balls will be charged $3 each, lost rackets $25 each)
