motueka Squash Club

Who: In the heart of the beautiful Nelson region, Motueka Club caters for juniors, men and women, competitive players and those looking for 'just for fun' - or high energy, social games.

We have D1 and D2 interclub teams in the Men's and Women's divisions. We have had players in the Premier League competition, Top Club, and Open / Masters tournaments.

Each year we participate in a challenge with Takaka for the "Horses Arse" Trophy. We also have 5 tournaments a year. The Pre season, Motueka Open, Motueka J grade one-dayer, D and Below one-dayer and the Motueka Club Champs. For dates please contact the Club. At the end of interclub we run a ladder challenge or a league.

What: There are 2 courts, adjacent to the Huia Rugby clubrooms.

Where: We are located in behind Whitwells Menswear in the main street of Motueka.

When:

• Juniors - Primary students run on Tuesday from 4.30pm - 6.00 pm.
  Secondary students run on Friday from 3.30 - 5.30 pm
• We have an Advanced Junior group Coached by Nick Wiffen (A2) and run on a Monday night 7.30pm - 8.30 pm
  There are roughly 26 juniors registered, with some juniors in the NBS advanced Squads. We participate in the Wellington Junior Open, S.I Junior Champs, Junior Nationals and the Nelson Age Group Tournament.
• In the Seniors we take part in the On Friday night the club runs a social teams event. American rules and 1/2 hour play. Each round lasts for six weeks.
• We run a Ladies coaching and games morning from 10.00am. Contact Shona Seymour 03-5286251.

How Much $: A variety of memberships are available catering for both competitive and leisure players. Please phone us and ask about current membership rates.
